The biggest weekend of football is here and taking place in Phoenix, Arizona! State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, is hosting Super Bowl LVII where the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles with a special halftime show performance by Rihanna. This is the Chiefs third time going to the Super Bowl in the past four seasons. The Eagles have not been to the Super Bowl since their big win in 2017. Not only is this a legendary weekend for football, but also music. Rihanna took a break from music to focus on other career avenues, including Fenty, so the Super Bowl half-time show will be her first performance since 2018 at the Grammys. Tend has partnered with State Farm Stadium to provide stadium staff for Super Bowl LVII. We look forward to seeing our Tenders in such a historic location alongside generational talents on and off the field. The Super Bowl is a great event that can be enjoyed by sports fans and pop culture stans alike.
State Farm stadium was built in 2006 and designed by New York architect Peter Eisenman. A combination of engineering, technology, and design was used to develop the stadium and create unique features like its retractable grass field and roof. This design makes it so that the grass can be moved away for other events in the stadium and the roof can be retracted depending on the weather conditions. This makes us here at Tend curious and excited as to how the stadium will host both an epic halftime show and one of America’s biggest games of the year all packaged into one action packed Sunday afternoon in February. State Farm Stadium was the only NFL stadium with a retractable grass field until Allegiant Stadium was built in 2017. The stadium has hosted two Super Bowls in the past, making this the third Super Bowl to take place at State Farm Stadium. The stadium holds an astounding 63,400 seats with the ability to expand to 73,000 for mega-events like the Super Bowl.
In addition to the Super Bowl, Tend is partnered with the NFL Fan Experience event at the Phoenix Convention Center. We have a number of our customer service facing Tenders working this week as merchandise associates for this family friendly event! The Fan Experience can be attended Thursday February 9th through Saturday February the 11th (hours vary per day).
