Concordia University is a private, nonprofit Lutheran University located in Irvine, California. The Golden Eagles have partnered with Bon Appetit Management Company to provide students and faculty with fresh food across campus. Tend has partnered with both Concordia and Bon Appetit to help provide all facets of food service to the Concordia student population. The Bon Appetit team is based in Palo Alto with all food, including sauces, stocks, and soups being cooked from scratch. Bon Appetit is committed to sourcing food locally and ethically. The goal at Bon Appetit is to “be the premier onsite restaurant company known for its culinary expertise and commitment to socially responsible practices.” This synchronicity with Tend is emblematic of our mission to provide excellence service and consciously improve every community we are fortunate enough to work with.
For Tend, Bon Appetit, and Concordia University the collaboration gives Tenders access to preparing fresh ingredients and understanding the food prep process from start to finish by offering a range of positions from prep cook to cashier to line cooks. The California collaboration offers a nice recurring opportunity for Tenders in the Orange County area looking to gain experience close to home in all stages of the food handling and cooking process!
