Common Practices for accessing tax documents on Everee while working with Tend
Filing taxes is not on anyone’s list of fun things to do in 2023, or any other year for that matter, but the earlier you can get a jump on it, the easier it makes it to minimize headaches and (hopefully) get you the most out of your tax return. The following is a breakdown of some tips that you can take or leave as you see fit for your own tax situation.
One of the first things to consider when filing taxes is which type of forms you’ll be filing. On the app, the W-2 shifts are denoted with a DTS (Delaware Tender Staffing) to the right of the shift and those without that are 1099 shifts. Below we’ll cover how to access your tax documents from Everee and what information will be helpful to have on hand when you’re filling out your forms.
1099:
From there, you’ll want to gather all of your income information - being all of your earnings from the 2022 tax year. You’ll then want to consider all tax deductions you’re eligible for, these deductions will come from any expenses that are both necessary and ordinary in our trade.
When you log into Everee you’ll be able to find your tax documents (W-2 and 1099 forms) in the ‘Documents’ section and you can download them to fill out your taxes. The ‘Payments’ and ‘Pay Stubs’ sections on Everee will show you your earnings broken down by shift. On the Tend app, you can also see the ‘History’ section where you can view your total earnings for the 2022 tax year.
W-2:
W-2 employees should be receiving a W-2 form in the Everee ‘Documents’ tab. It’s important to check the accuracy of the information on your W-2 to ensure that the information is correct. We encourage you to report any discrepancies to your employer as soon as possible. It’s important to keep accurate records of your income and expenses throughout the year so you can have a good assessment of your tax statement.
For any more information, questions or concerns, please reach out to Everee via email [email protected] or message the chat bot for help locating any tax documents. We hope that these tips can help you get started on your taxes for 2022. Here’s to a great 2023 together and beyond!
